Healthcare Trends

Healthcare Trends

If you think trends don’t affect core industries like healthcare, think again. Innovation, new technology, and attitudes about care all affect our experiences in clinics and hospitals.

Fortunately, the latest initiatives in health care are focused on patient well-being, comfort, and prevention, which will hopefully improve care overall in the coming years.

So what are the latest initiatives in healthcare? Read on to find out.

Value over Volume

In the past, providers focused on quantity over quality to some degree. Reimbursement was based on services provided, not on the value patients were offered. Fortunately, that’s changing, with the focus now on value-based care.

The value-based model is intended to improve care and overall health of the population while reducing costs. It sounds impossible, but it just requires a few shifts, like pacing patients at the center of the care considerations.

New Technologies

Artificial intelligence, blockchain security, and data analytics are all the new kids on the block, and they’re improving everything from patient monitoring to data security.

Technology takes some of the burden off providers by allowing patients to self-report from wearables and taking over mundane tasks like medication reminders?
